Growing Spiritually

February 2012

February is a month demanding balance and harmony above all else. If you can find new ways to organize your needs, they can and should be met more easily than in the recent past. If you flail around in an emotional turmoil, you’ll feel bored, drained, and stuck in a rut.

Find new ways to stimulate yourself – exercise, relax regularly, interact with nature at every opportunity even if that’s only a short walk through the grass. A vacation would be great, but if that’s not possible, do find those relaxing hours (days?) we all need. If you find yourself feeling guilty or resentful, you must release those feelings very quickly or they’ll destroy any sense of well-being you have.

The downside of the energy this month is that guilt and resentment will sneak in to most people’s lives much too often. Replace guilt with appreciation and resentment with understanding.

The energy color for February is green – a vibrant green which emanates from your heart center. As most of you know, green is indicative of emotional stimulation in that heart center and it can mean a time of being overly emotional.

What you must remember is that it doesn’t have to be a painfully emotional time. Feeling your emotions, deciding what to do with emotions that “hurt” is actually a powerful opportunity for growth. Release any emotional blocks – trust your feelings – be yourself, your most feeling self, and you will learn much about your emotional well-being this month.

Let this be a month filled with much joy and peace of mind. That is possible even in such an emotionally charged atmosphere.

The energy hint for February is to open your heart center and open it wide. No fear, no panic. Take a good look at your emotional well-being and steady yourself for change. It is time. Many people will be able to not only control their unwanted emotions, but see what needs to be changed in their emotional selves (and actually make those changes). Feel your way through your days.

Relationships

There will be much movement and change in our closest relationships this month. Don’t try to control another, but remember to try to control your own emotions. Emotional outbursts will cause a great deal of trouble for everyone. Be calm at all costs.

Finances

Matters of great financial importance may take on an emotional side that will not be beneficial in any way. Try to clear your emotional slate before dealing with any financial issues.

Beginning the Conversation

I sometimes find that I’m ahead of the game (and often time more behind – but that is another story) and, in this instance Lee’s guidance on the month to come “find new ways to stimulate yourself” is a case in point.

I have just tried out for a choir – my first ever choir. They encourage new members to attend a few rehearsals before committing but we are down to perform Dvorak’s Requiem in April. This is a challenge for me as Im undecided whether Im a First Alto or a Soprano even. Then, there is the tricky bits about not jumping lines on the music score. I tend to drift between the top of each group of four lines to the second line and back. Still, early days!

I’ve also joined a Philosophy class and we spent two hours discussing the nature of wisdom. All good fun! So, Lee I am on the Universe’s page.

Continuing the Conversation

I know my heart is in for a big work out this month. I can feel it. What about everyone else?

    Hi Rosemary
All this week I have been draw to the colour green. And last week told someone to take off their shoes and walk in the grass .I find this very grounding. Best in early morn when the dew is still on the grass.

But not this week as we have lots of the white stuff and my feet would freeze!

I have felt very uninterested in things which drives me crazy. So I asked to be given some spirit help and within a few days I was doing some new work drawing wise. I have made a deck of cards. Still very much in there infancy.

I now wait for my next step as to know what to do with them as I feel they are not quiet finished.

I try and do whatever comes along if I feel its right for me. I always follow my feeling sense.

I play uplifting music and dance around the living room to move my energies. I guess I do whatever feels right at the time, just go with the flow of things.

We have snow here in England so I am off to move some of it from my pathway, may be in doing so I will clear a pathway in my life too.

As I clear the snow I will think about all the past hurts and blockages.
    Happy days
    Love Jennie x

I think you should keep your shoes on while the pretty white flakes are on the ground and leave it to us Aussies who are experiencing summer (and floods again in some places) to tip to thru the grass.

When you say cards are you talking about greeting cards or tarot cards or??

      Cheers

    Hi Rosemary.

Let me tell you a story.

Some months ago I started being given symbols from spirit. I saw them very clearly and they were projected into my mind. I drew them on paper when ever I received them. I was being given one every day until I had about 20 or so. Suddenly they stopped and for another few months I had nothing.

Then I found myself on the internet being draw to Mandels. They were so colourful and I found myself drawing my own and was told by spirit to place the symbols on them so I did just that.

From there I put some in frames and on my living room wall for all to see.

My friends then asked if they could have one and because they are all hand drawn they are all slightly different.

I then thought they would make a great deck of cards like Tarot, so for the last 6 weeks I have made them into small Tarot like cards. but have yet to place the symbols on them.

I have been given some of the meanings of the symbols now so that’s my next step.

I feel they are like keys and by looking at the patterns things get unlocked. Blockages are released, and one is able to change and move into the future with a sense of renewal and freedom and also the healing one needs at the time of looking at the patterns.

One of my friends is very gifted and has told me some hold an amazing amount of power, and I know this to be so.

I have felt a pulling in my solar plexus while drawing them. x

Wow Jennie. That is some story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The words Meditation Cards come to me. I like things to be beautiful and functional and it seems you are already discovering uses for your beautiful constructs.

Are they A4 size or smaller, more like children’s playing cards? Twenty seems like a good number for a pack of Meditation Cards.

Who in particular do you think is channelling them to you Jennie? Do you work with your guides perhaps?

      How exciting Jennie.

Does meditating on them bring their meaning and significance to you or is it more a matter of being patient and waiting?

      Ciao

    Hi Again

My creations started on A4 size coloured paper. I found the coloured pencils, pens and inks looked better and brighter on some colours more than others.

I used variety of different mediums to begin with.

It felt like I had just fell into their birthing and it was a bit of a surprise. There seemed no real build up to them. The symbols came in fast at first and I asked spirit,”well what do I do with them”?

The next thing to happened was when I was on my PC looking for something else and I found a page of mandelas, so I just put 2 and 2 together and thought, so this is what you want me to do!

I continued to draw then on paper but found I needed something stronger so progressed to coloured card. From there I had an idea to copy the patterns on small cards to show them to people, so they could choose which pattern they were drawn to, if they wanted one drawn for them.

I also ask people on my Facebook page if they would like any of the pictures I was drawing at that time for free, just to see how much interest there might be. The respose was good but not to much for me to handle.

I needed to find some card the size of business cards.

I contacted my nephew Trevor who is a printer in a small family run business and asked him if his boss would supply me with any cards that the could not sell due to them being shop soiled.

Within two weeks, I had been sent about 500 cards and I began the task of copying my patterns on to them.

I also noticed that while drawing them they were having an effect on me. I felt happy, I felt moved to do different things in my life and so on. I thought if they can do this for me what could they do for others?

I then found I was being give more patterns and I just counted them and there are 29 in all.

I do believe that they have come to me via my higher self, spirit, whatever you wish to call it. Some sort of divine help was sent to me of that I am sure.

I had channelled some writting from one of my guides weeks before this all kicked off that I was to do something unique to me, and I was to see it through to the end.

I do some work then leave it, so it takes some time to put it all together, a labour of love.

I have no idea if my nephew can get them printed for me when I finally finish them, and I know if I sent them to a publishing house they would send them back because, they are all drawn free hand so they are not perfect in their dimensions.

I draw as if in an altered state so they are what they are, which is not perfect, yet they are perfect in a very special way. And if they do something for another to help them so be it. x

      Gorgeous Jennie.

Why not ask if they are more than “something unique to me, and I was to see it through to the end”?

Never hurts to ask, but I guess you probably won’t get told the answer unless its for your best. Still?

If they are to be of any commercial use it will be possible to get it all done over the Internet, Im sure. Just thinking out loud here, would it be easier on your eyes and would the color intensity be greater if you constructed them in a larger format and then had then reduced and reproduced?

Anyway, Jennie if there is a way of sharing what they look like with us, please do so – even a link to your Facebook page if they are up there.

      Cheers

      Rosemary
