Ankhasha’s Story (Abridged)

“How young were you when you discovered you had these abilities?”

“The first dramatic occurrence was recounted by Mother. It was around 1957 and we lived on Whidbey Island in Washington State in a small home surrounded by woods…..

“My parents regularly reminded all of us to not wander in the woods alone. Late one day when my sisters were in school and my Father was at work, my Mother fell ill. As I was 3 or 4 years old at the time, I had no understanding of what was happening and certainly no plan of action. As she collapsed in pain and fell to the floor, I ran from the house, my dog at my side and walked directly into the woods I loved and feared at the same time….

“A beautiful woman appeared….. The next thing I remember was the sun peeking through as we approached the edge of the wood and seeing a house to the left. At that moment, her touch disappeared and as I looked up, she was gone.

“I ran to the house and according to my family, told the occupants that my mother was sick.

“Although my parents recounted this story many times as I grew, the only parts that I remember is approaching the woods, the lady I met there, and running to the neighbors home. Her comforting presence has never left me and she has continued to appear to me over the years in times of need.

The Twelve Gates

There is much to read on Ankhasha’s site and the information is to be found behind what she calls Gates. The 12 Gates are:

• Psychic Senses

“Find someone who will tell it like it is, no holds barred, someone who will challenge you to see yourself clearly. Not someone who will tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. There are many excellent teachers who can be your companion on your journey.”

• Relationships

“When your child tells you things of a psychic nature, DON’T make a big deal of it; just keep a record of it somewhere so you can refer to it later… So I encourage you to listen carefully to your children, support them, teach them respect for themselves and others, and LET THEM BE CHILDREN!  Don’t isolate them or tell them they are ‘different’ than their peers.”

• Psychic Protection

“Fear and anxiety feed on themselves and are not beneficial to giving you psychic empowerment. You are in control of your experience and you have the ability to protect yourself. Take charge of your psychic protection and it will enhance your self esteem and mental and emotional well being.”

• Amulets and Talismans

“The difference between an amulet and a talisman is subtle and there is no clear agreement as to what each one does. Most people agree that an amulet is a small magically charged object that provides protection for its owner. A talisman on the other hand is created for an individual to provide specific powers or draw certain energies to the owner.”

“Dreams show us so much about ourselves, what we are afraid of, what we secretly want, even the things we don’t want. Many times our repressed anxieties, fears, and emotions are expressed in the actions we perform in our dreams.”

• Olde Magick

“Most wiccans practice traditions that reflect the following: a belief in an equal partnership of the Female/Male energies, usually called The Goddess and The God; a belief that as long as you are not harming anyone (including yourself) you may do as you please; a belief in Karma and that the totality of your actions will affect you not only in this life, but in future lives.”

• The Unseen (paranormal)

I have attended “several important scientific conferences where prominent scientists are studying the paranormal. You really haven’t lived until you’ve spent 3 days with people whose list of degrees is longer than my credit report! I always feel like a fish out of water when I go to those, but I do my best to attend for a variety of reasons.

First, these scientists are on the cutting edge of technology and research when it comes to the Unseen, especially the topic of Life after Death. Many of them spend a great deal of their time devoted to the subject in research. Second, they are endlessly curious about all things paranormal.
