Well that’s how it seems to me. The more I read and listen and ask questions, the more unexplained mysteries life seems to present.
In this section I’ve grouped mainstream paranormal phenomena and other happenings which don’t fit neatly into the other major categories.
Here is where you’ll have the opportunity to read and comment on anything from the ouija boards to UFOs and Tarot Cards. This section really is a melting pot.
And I’m open to adding to it. The more paranormal phenomena surveys I read and analyze the bigger the psi fringe seems to get!

Hi Linda.
The way how you describe the orbs match EXACTLY my own experience. They are gliding slowly through the room, they are very glowing colors, mine was red orange – like the sun, but they don’t blend you, they don’t send off light. And then they appear quickly into walls or the ground. I believe this is spirit. I had that experience when i was 4 and the orb was floating over my 2 years old sleeping brother. I believe it was him just coming home from his trip ( :
Orbs and other light anomalies are definitely real Madeleine I just don’t understand why some people can see them and some can’t. I can only guess the more spiritual you are the more likely you are to have such experiences. I feel privileged and in awe when it happens to me :]

I wonder if you can help? For several months now my son and I have been seeing orbs in my house. We are seeing these with the naked eye and they vary in colour and size and transparency. The very first orb we seen was completely solid and was a vibrant glowing red though it omitted no light. It moved very quickly and vibrated directly above our tv. It was about 10″ to 12″ in diameter. We have also seen a large yellow orb about the same size but yellow in our kitchen and it floated mid air in our kitchen then shot straight into our floor then disappeared. My son also seen a yellow orb floating past my face in the kitchen a few weeks later. I was feeling quite low at the time and not sure if there is a connection to him seeing this at the time.
Most of the orbs have appeared in my bedroom and the first was to be seen again was in solid red, though it was about 6″ in diameter. It was definitely inside the window as it could be seen inside the frame of the window. The second to be seen in here was multi coloured (colours of the rainbow) but wasn’t quite so solid and slightly transparent. It was also about 4″ to 6″ in diameter. These orbs have tended to stay in one area and move very quickly than disappear. There has been several more but mainly in yellow that have been darting around my bedroom from one side of the room to the other.
I have now lost count of how many we have seen. I always thought orbs could only be seen on film. I now know this not to be true. Though I have been informed it is very rare to see an orb by the visible eye and that we are very fortunate.
To add to all this my son and I hear voices. We couldn’t make it out at first then we realized there was a voice asking my son “how are you Dean” and I have heard voices saying “mum, mum, mum”.
We have heard spirit whisperings but been unable to decipher what they said. My son has also seen a little girl in our house running through our hallway into the kitchen at 9 15 in the morning. She was very clear to him though only her head and shoulders and feet were clear to him, her torso was hazy. He clearly described the length of her hair and the gait of her run and her height. She sounded about 4 years old.
My son has had someone stroking his arm and I have had someone tickling me. My son has also had a hand coming out from behind his pillow on his bed as he sat which he described as very long and skinny, he thought it was a woman’s hand.
These are just a few things which have happened here and I would value your opinion. These have all happened in the past five months and prior to this we have had many ‘paranormal happenings’ which have been intriguing but it is only now we see and hear things so clearly though my son and I have seen and heard things in the past( he is 12 now).
I have seen and heard things since I was little but not frequently.

It would seem that things are pretty busy around your home, and fortunately manageable.
I wonder if things are escalating, or will be escalating? Poltergeist activity has been associated with pre-pubescent children, and while that is not conclusive it is worthwhile keeping in mind if things do heat up more.
As far as the orbs are concerned I may be in a minority here but Im not convinced that there is anything paranormal about them. That said, others here on the blog have also experienced orbs in conjunction with more commonly experienced paranormal activity – very much like you are witnessing. So, whether they can be put into the paranormal basket of not, Im unsure.
How do you feel about sharing your home with disincarnate beings? I think that is the key to what you do next. If you are going through a rough patch personally you may in fact be more open, even vulnerable to activity. If the activity is increasing, I’d be inclined to build more of a personal protection around yourself and your son http://psychicrevolution.com/psychic-shield.html/ Further, you may want to seek the help of a recommended paranormal worker in your area to do some cleansing.

Hi there Rosemary thanks for your reply,
I contacted a group in my area and they confirmed there were many spirits within my home. They said there was a portal in my kitchen allowing the spirits through and that the spirits enjoyed visiting us as we could sense and hear them. They managed to capture some excellent EVP one in particular saying “get Ronnie out”.
I omitted to tell you in my previous post that I was waking in the morning with at times some quite severe bruising. They took the form off punch marks on my arms where it was so clear you could see the shape of the fist mark on my arms and grab marks on my thighs where you could make out the full hand print.
The medium said that it was a Ronnie Kilpatrick who passed in 1942 that was doing this to me and the other spirits wanted him out. It seems that he thought I was his wife who had cheated on him and bore another mans child. She spoke to him explaining that I was not his wife you could clearly hear him say on the EVP “oh my god, oh my god I am so sorry” anyway she asked him to walk to the light and she requested that the portal be closed.
The bruising stopped completely and the atmosphere in my home changed. I have now moved home for unrelated reasons and the night before I was leaving I went outside with the dog for fresh air. There was incredibly heavy footsteps walking behind me down the steps, and of course there was nobody there. My dog heard them also.
I am now settled in my new home and have seen a few lights but they aren’t a cause for concern I don’t think. The latest was just the other night. It was bright electric blue with a white outline, it was 5 to 6″ long and was in the shape of a long piece of thick squiggly thread. Its shape didn’t change, it just floated towards the tv then disappeared suddenly. Earlier on the same day there was sharp tapping coming from the back of my home as though someone was tapping sharply with a key or coin on the window.
I don’t mind the visitations and feel privileged to acknowledge them though I will certainly be keeping a close eye on things.
I have had a lot of things happen and psychic experiences. I am now acknowledging these as being connected and will be working on this in the future.

…additionally i can say, that my brother (who was 1 year old) died the next year in a car accident. I wonder if there is a connection or calling.

I was wondering if my brother came back from its flight or if the orb had some special connection with my brother.
I never saw it again: i guess i blocked it because it frightened me. The other interesting thing is, that it didn’t create shadow. it was light without shadow- the room didnt light up which i found strange.

it’s been some time since I had a similar experience. It was when I was around 10 years old and playing in the woods near an old fort. I experienced 3 gold light sources which were eight inches in diameter, they were about 15ft in front of me. I moved towards them and they changed their positions as they went around the trees at the same speed as I walked.
I managed to get within 3ft of them before they just faded away. I felt no fear and it felt very calm. There were no unusual weather conditions, it was a summers evening and quite dark. I believe to this day it was spirit and being the colour gold represented high in the spiritworld. On several events to this day I, and the team, have witnessed more of these light sources, they have been gold, blue and white in colour.
Spirit can take on many forms and we believe in most cases this is one of them. Of course there can be many explanations for what is known as orbs but when colour is added and the various conditions are investigated we have understood our senses to realise there is a presence surrounding many particular sightings. I believe ball lightning is a build up of electrical static and as we know static can be felt by all of us, as we have not experienced this as an electrical static we are sure it was not ball lightning in our experiences. Did you feel any static when you had this experience?
Sorry if this is a bit late but we have moved house and not had time to be involved for a while.

When I was three years old, I remember waking up at night and seeing a golden Light ball in front of the closed window, diameter about 30 cm. It looked like a miniature of the sun, I could see the movement of gold yellow colour shades on the surface. However this lightball moved through the closed window and flew into the room, very slowly and stopped above the head of my sleeping brother. I had the feeling it was looking at him and then it dissappeared. I was very scared and of course my parents didnt believe me. But i cant remember if it was a stormy night or not. I just remember that there was no smell of burned stuff or so (which usually happens with ball lightning)

I dont know how long light balls have been mentioned in the literature – my feeling is that they’re a ‘relatively’ recent phenomena. You seem to be saying that this one was particularly interested in your brother. I wonder, if this is often the case and why? Are they some form of alien life? What do others think?

Judy, you seem to be describing ghost orbs and my understanding is that these are a relatively new phenomena in terms of reporting. Of course, they may have existed much longer but it seems to me that it is something that people are only now starting to notice. These anomalous events werent covered in my spontaneous paranoraml survey and like you, Id be interested to read about others experiences. Sorry I cant be more helpful. Perhaps others can be?

I have looked everywhere on the web and in libraries etc., and have never been able to find anything about this in any shape or form whatsoever. I have been told that it was ‘ball-lightning’ BUT I have actually seen ball-lightning both in the UK and the USA where I lived for several years since the following occurrences and I can categorically say that it was NOT ball-lightning which that I saw on both the occasions in question; in any case, there was no stormy weather about and, in fact, the weather was calm both times.
In November 1972 at about 4pm. I went into a back bedroom of my home, looked through the west facing window and noticed that it was a calm clear late afternoon with the sun setting low in the sky. I turned away from the window towards my right and suddenly noticed, slowly revolving about to two feet above and about two feet in front of me a slowly revolving, brilliant sphere – it seemed to be a gold orb, about the size of a large orange; as it revolved it seemed to give off scintillating flashes as if it was covered in diamonds or other jewels.
It was utterly silent and I just stood and looked at it as it was so astonishing and utterly beautiful; I was totally unafraid and had a distinct knowledge that whatever it was it would not hurt me – I just wondered what it was.
As I stood watching it, after about two or three minutes, it just ‘went’ – that is the only thing I can say – one second it was there, the next it was gone!
Exactly the same thing occurred in July 1978 but in a different house as we had moved by that time; it was about 7.50pm. and a calm, fairly cloudy evening – I was looking through the north-east facing window of our living room and again noticed the object to my right about two feet above and two feet away from me. The same events occurred.
On both occasions, I suffered no ill effects whatsoever; I have just been left with a longing to know what it was and why it was there.
I hope some-one has heard of this before and can perhaps shed some light on it. Thanks, anyway
