Spiritual Mediumship – Parapsychological Definition:
Mediumship is a predominantly Spiritualistic term applied to a person who regularly, and to a greater or lesser extent at will, is involved in the production of psi in the form mental and/or physical phenomena.
The role of the Spiritualist medium is twofold. First, in linking to the spirit world, the medium aims to provide evidence of the continuation of life after death. This is done by connecting with the ‘soul’ or ‘spirit’ of a deceased person, which has left the physical body but exists, with the memory and personality intact. Second, the medium may receive and pass on spiritual guidance and wisdom. Spiritual mediumship is the cornerstone of Spiritualism.
