Spirits Evolving by Lee Channing (Aug 2011)

Over the past few months I’ve been a subscriber to Lee Channing’s newsletter and have enjoyed her insights. Long story short, I approached Lee and asked permission to print part of her newsletter for my readers. So, here is that extract. Let me know what you think. I’d be interested to know your thoughts on Lee’s work and I think that Lee will welcome the feedback too!

August 2011

A powerful, heavy month demanding determination, balance, and, in the end, personal growth. Use this energy to rise above mundane issues and be all that you can be.

The spiritual energies surrounding us all will offer more opportunities for cleansings, joy, and warmth (that warm core deep inside). What I mean by “cleansings” is that you will have extra energy to clean out your environment – to lesson the effect others have on you and to wipe many emotional slates clean (or at least cleaner).

Work hard to understand your role in personal relationships, decide which people you can trust (and stick to that), and allow yourself to release energies and people who no longer serve a loving purpose in your life. Basically a month of necessary growth and increased awareness. Accept the responsibility for your own growth without question.

The energy color for August is bright orange – really bright orange. The color flow has moved from the mix of orange/red to this bright orange which will be quite noticeable to most people. This month’s energy will demand extra attention from all as it is heavy and somewhat demanding. Don’t let the idea of heavy energy scare you (fear is highlighted), rather let it inspire you to work harder to control your addictions, calm your emotions, and show your courage to all (including yourself).

The physical areas most affected will continue to be the lower part of your body with the main focus on urinary issues. We all need to drink more healthy liquids and use/take herbs whenever possible. I suggest you find a professional herbalist and experiment with using herbs to support your physical body.

Emotional issues highlighted will surround relationships and are pleasure, cooperation, fears, worries, procrastination, and addictions of all sorts. This will be a perfect time to put a stop to addictions that are hurting you (smoking, drinking, drugs, etc.). It will also be a time of unusual accidents and rapid healing. Remember each color/chakra has its very positive attributes and it’s very unhealthy aspects as well. Always focus on the positive.

The energy hint for August is to stop procrastinating. We all tend to procrastinate. If you do so this month, you’ll pay a hefty price.

Try to make a plan for each day so that nothing is left undone (realistically). Focus on yourself, your needs, and your ability to change your life into a life that is more enjoyable and balanced. You can do it.

Relationships: If you have relationship issues, face them now. Work hard to make your relationships better or release them completely. This is not a time to play around with others’ emotions. You’ll pay a high price. Keep your emotions calm and strive to create calmer relationships at every turn.

Finances: Another heavy month which always casts a darker light on finances. Try to spend as little time as possible with the budget, but don’t ignore it. Be realistic about your income/expenses being aware that that other or better job may not appear just yet. Make do with what you have this month and try not to worry too much if you’re in financial trouble. Next month may well be a better time to focus on your earnings.

Beginning the Conversation

Already August is showing itself up to be a wild ride, especially where global finances are concerned. Are you feeling what Lee is talking about? I know that as I was reading Lee’s newsletter one relationship in particular sprung to mind – and interestingly, I had already decided to really ‘go for it’ and really work on this relationship. I remember saying, I know if I don’t I will regret this.
