Spirits Evolving by Lee Channing (Sept 2011)

Over the past few months I’ve been a subscriber to Lee Channing’s newsletter and have enjoyed her insights. Long story short, I approached Lee and asked permission to print part of her newsletter for my readers. So, here is that extract. Let me know what you think. I’ll be interested to know your thoughts on Lee’s work and I know Lee will welcome the feedback too!

September 2011

In the past several weeks in my area (Virginia, U.S.A.) we’ve experienced Hurricane Irene, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake with numerous aftershocks, and an ongoing fire in the Great Dismal Swamp to mention only a few things. You just have to ask yourself what is going on? Mother Earth is certainly sharing with us – showing us her amazing power.

I believe that we should all take time to show a little extra respect and appreciation for our home – Earth. The energy is moving rapidly at this time – more rapidly than some realize – and we need to try very hard to keep ourselves calm and grounded even in the midst of all these potentially frightening events.

I remember hearing a very long time ago that your response to natural disasters is a good indication of how spiritually evolved you are. If you panic into the fear of what you cannot control, you’ve got plenty more work to do. If you remain calm, congratulate yourself – much spiritual evolution has taken place.

So, no matter what happens in your life, try to remain calm and centered and it will pass much easier. You cannot control the earthquake or hurricane, but you can control your emotions.

September will be energetically calmer for most people (and hopefully the entire State of Virginia). Since we’ve had a few heavy energy months in a row, most people will recognize and appreciate the change.

So try to slow things down a bit, relax, and focus on your communication skills. If you, like so many others, have gotten caught in the “procrastination” energy – clear the air and get moving. Much can be accomplished even with this new relaxed energy flow.

The energy color for September is blue, a beautiful, relaxing shade of blue which will be very nice after the heavy energy months we’ve endured/enjoyed recently.

As many of you already know, blue is associated with the throat center, the center of communication (words, both written and spoken). It is also an area that requires personal truth be spoken, relaxation be found, and grief and sadness be released.

This energy center focuses on healing, forgiveness, devotion, and, unfortunately, sleep disorders. If you have any problems with sleep, work toward a solution now so that you’re not lying awake for forty days and forty nights.

The physical areas most affected by the color blue are your throat, your ears, your thyroid, and your respiratory system.

This simply means that if any health issues arise in those areas, see your health professional immediately. With extra energy there, a sore throat or cough can dissipate much faster or worsen much more rapidly. Just pay close attention.

The sense that will be the most active this month will be your sense of hearing. Pay close attention to the words of others and the sounds you hear. This is a perfect time to use music and sound both for relaxation and stimulation.

Make certain to “listen” carefully to your surroundings and create sounds that you enjoy (especially to cover up traffic or other sounds you don’t enjoy). Be creative.

The energy hint for September is to relax into your own personal rhythm. Ask yourself what your personal rhythm feels like.

Do you always move rapidly through your day? Do you move in slow motion? Are you moving at a safe speed both physically and emotionally. Are you moving down a clear path in your spiritual growth? Simply enjoy the feeling of movement and constant rhythm. We all have our rhythms. Find yours and enhance it if necessary.

Relationships: Words, words, words. Every word you say will be carefully analyzed by the other person, especially in intimate relationships. No need to over-analyze yourself or your partner, but do take care with how you word your desires and your complaints.

Finances: September will be a good time to make clear financial decisions. Make every effort to see your financial situation very clearly and strive to make it better. If you’ve been waiting to buy that special gift, do it now.

REMEMBER – RELAX INTO YOUR OWN PERSONAL RHYTHM.
